What is SEO ?

Webmasters can promote their website by means of "trading" links with other websites, however current search engine algorithms now take this into account and less importance is placed upon this type of link when websites are seen as scratching each others backs in order to manipulate SERPS.

However, this kind of practice can draw attention to a website for a number or reasons, but the elite black hat webmaster knows exactly which pages he should and should not post his links on, and exactly how he should post his link so that it is not considered as spam and that is it guaranteed to be considered a genuine vote for the site.
